Well, yeah, if you have the option to work for a big publisher then why would you use kickstarter? Kickstarter is for independent game makers who don't have that option. 10 million is the most anyone has been able to raise from kickstarter but it wasn't for a game... it was for a watch. That's right, a watch. A customizable, water-resistant watch.
