Full name: Factor 5 LLC
Established: 1987
Website:

Factor 5 was founded in Germany in 1987 by five computer game enthusiast friends.

Their early projects included the R-Type inspired shoot 'em up "Katakis". The title was pulled from the shelves, reworked and later released as "Denaris" due to its similarities to R-Type. However, their work on "Katakis" won Factor 5 the opportunity to produce the official home computer conversion of R-Type.

Other notable titles from their early years were the "Turrican" games released on Amiga, Atari ST, Megadrive and SNES.

Since 1994 Factor 5 has worked increasingly more closely with LucasArts, developing conversions of PC classics "Rebel Assault 2", "Rogue Squadron", "Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine" for the Playstation, N64 and GameCube.

The company has since grown to 25 people from all over the globe and relocated to Marin County, California to work more closely with LucasArts.
