Summary

We love any excuse to use big scientific words. Zygomaticus Major. Orbicularis Oris. Trapezius. Notice a pattern? They're all words used to describe the many parts of your face (they mean cheek, mouth and neck muscles if you're wondering), and if you're feeling particularly tired or stressed you can put a lot of pressure on it unawares.

Nintendo's latest program in the Training series focuses on the face, thanks to a personal tutorial from the Japanese Beautician & Specialist in the Muscles of Facial Expression, Fumiko Inudo. Take a lesson or two from Inudo using your DSi or DSi XL handhelds and use the camera functions to full effect as you perfect the exercises presented to you.

A stand is included with the game to sit your Nintendo handheld upright while you follow the instructions with each exercise. The host, Miles, is your virtual face trainer, and will help you get to grips with the various sessions on offer. Your movements during this time is captured on the DSi camera, and you can even take a photo that Miles can assess and provide advice on.

Face Training focuses on six facial areas – eyes, cheeks, nose, mouth, jaw and neck – and you can keep track of your progress using the built-in calendar function.
