Summary

Samus Aran is one of Nintendo's best-loved characters, yet after so many outings we still don't really know the lady behind the visor. About the closest we ever got to understanding the character was in Metroid Fusion on the Game Boy Advance.

That's about to change, as a developmental 'reboot' of the series in Metroid: Other M – headed by an unlikely collaboration between co-creator Yoshio Sakamoto and Team Ninja – will not only give Samus a voice for the very first time, but also aims to present a much more story-driven space adventure.

Flipping the Remote vertically and pointing it at the screen switches the camera to first-person view, where you can examine environments more closely and fire more accurately.

As you would expect in a Metroid game, there will be many power-ups and suit upgrades for Samus to obtain throughout the game, and all these evolving abilities will be required to survive the adventure that she faces. Although this time around, players old and new will see a side to the heroine that nobody has known until now...
