Summary

The new football season brings with it the new FIFA game from Electronic Arts Sports label. It also means, for the first time, a 3D version for a handheld in the form of the Nintendo 3DS.

With players and clubs such as Barcelona’s Lionel Messi, Real Madrid’s Kaká and Manchester United’s Wayne Rooney, to control, the 3DS owner will need to master the 3DS’s optional touch screen controls.

This enables precision shooting and passing by picking a spot precisely from the player’s viewpoint using the lower touch screen followed by controlling the aftertouch.

Added to the big names and the big clubs is the ability for the gamer to inject themselves or a player of their construction into the Street Football Mode, featuring innovative curved pitches and a lower camera view that maximizes 3D planes.

Street Football Mode includes 5 versus 5 games in a series of street and indoor environments from around the world.

Upping the game is the “Be A Pro Mode” where gamers can take their created player from the streets to club and and then country sides as they compete, train, and challenge for a first team place.

As well as 5v5 games FIFA 12 for the 3DS also features 11 versus 11 gameplay as well as head-to-head online matches using Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. In Tournament Mode there are over 50 real-world competitions to compete in. Added to this is a a Career Mode and of course, a Training Mode.
