Summary

Just when you think you're out, they pull you back in for one last adventure...

It's three years since the events of Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception, and Nathan Drake has been living a conventional life of domestic bliss. Fate has other plans for him, though. Sam, Drake's brother, resurfaces, and Drake is drawn back in for one last treasure hunt and to save his brother's life.

The pair, along with returning characters such as Sully, go on the hunt for Libertalia, a fabled pirate utopia deep in the forests of Madagascar, and the treasure of Captain Henry Avery. Naturally, an action-packed global romp across jungles and snow-capped peaks ensues!

The familiar cinematic third-person action, exploration and gunplay that the Uncharted series is famed for return here, but the formula's been tweaked. Developer Naughty Dog has opened up the stages somewhat for an approach it calls 'wide linear'. Environments are still set up in ways that encourage spectacular set-pieces and tight action sequences, but players are afforded more scope for exploration and experimentation than in previous games.

Multiplayer returns, too, with both co-op and competitive play. Crucially, Naughty Dog has promised that all future multiplayer downloadable content will be made available for free, meaning that there won't be any fragmenting of the community.

It's been hinted that this is the last Uncharted game from Naughty Dog, and while you should never say never in video games, this could be Drake's last hurrah!
