The Tony Hawk's Franchise

How about "probably just dandy except no one cares anymore". Most people don't get a thrill out of skating games like they did when it was new. Also skaters, unlike football fans, actually go skate, so the appeal is less. not to mention the disparity in number of skaters vs number of football fans. Its not the sort of thing that's easily sustainable on a yearly cycle. They don't leave enough time to miss it.

I bet if i picked up the latest Tony game and played it i would have a lot of fun, I just have no interest in picking it up.

Skaters actually do "go skate". After 5 years as a cripple, 2007 marks my official return to the skating community. But renewed interest in skating (now I can do it again) has also resulted in renewed interest in TH. In the five years as a cripple, I could have spent loads of time on THP* but instead, I didn't. I spent it mountain biking, wakeboarding and so on.

Skating makes me want play skating games.
