I'd interrupt my game playing to do any one of the above, as long as the anime (it's a Japanese word, not a French one, the écoute is a hideous franglicisation to tell stupid westerners how to pronounce it), band, comic, lad/lass was good enough.

And the poll doesn't allow that response.

Nor does it allow a "none of these" response for real hardcore gamers.

If it's a Japanese word, how comes you didn't enter the scratchy doodle glyph? The whole point of the written English form is to clearly convey the pronunciation, right? So what's up with the accent? Would "anniemay" be better?

Otherwise it would be like writing spoken "clark" as "clerk", "leftenant" as "lieutenant" of even "Mumbia" as "Bombay"

Presuming that most stupid westerners haven't a clue how to read Japanese,
