Summary

Following the huge multi-platform success of the original, Shadowman 2 from Acclaim is the highly demanded sequel. Produced for PlayStation 2, this new epic boasts many improvements over its predecessor. Read on.

Once again, you assume the role of Shadow Man, Mike LeRoi, in another twisted tale of life and death. Subtitled 2econd Coming, Shadowman 2 demands that you battle a threatening group of demons called the Grigori. If they are successful in their mission to raise Asmodeus from The Pit, humanity will be destroyed in an unimaginable cataclysmic event.

New for PlayStation 2, Shadowman 2 boasts a brand new game engine exclusive to the platform. As such, the game features six stunning new game locations, all of which are tied together to form the complete game world. Thanks to the improved engine, the CPU controlled opposition is now more cunning than ever. Enemies can now actually react to in-game events, and in a highly realistic manner.

Shadowman 2 is once again played in the third person, and incorporates several established gaming genres that include platform, stealth and puzzle aspects of gameplay. What’s more, whether you’re left-handed or right-handed, the controls can be altered to suit all players – a truly ambidextrous experience. Players are also able to save their game at any point, lessening an already steep learning curve considerably.

With all the aforementioned features, and some nice graphical touches and plot twists thrown in for good measure, Shadowman 2 is an unpredictable and enthralling game that boasts over 30 hours of playing time.
