Summary

Nanotek Warrior for the Sony Playstation is a fast and furious shoot-em-up designed for those gamers with lightning quick reactions. Nanotek is similar to the classic tempest in some respects, which is a very good thing. In Nanotek you race along a tube taking out all those that dare to come into your way. You are fixed to the track but you are able to rotate 360 degrees all the way round the course. This adds a lot of replay value because even if you are playing the same level over, chances are that you will take a different approach each time. Sometimes you need to spin around the track to avoid obstacles and other times rotating is handy to escape blowing up when you are close to death.

Luckily you have the ability to jump your craft in case things get heated and this game gets hot. There are power ups to collect to boost your firepower to the max and the special effects unleashed are impressive. When you make it to the end of a level you come up against a boss to defeat. The end sections are a nice change of pace and being in 3-d you have total control of your ship. Nanotek is a straightforward game and consequently makes it appealing to veterans and novices alike. If you are looking for a fun blast Nanotek Warrior is your game.
