Summary

Puzzle games were once a simple genre, where games were just as easy to play as they were challenging. As the new millennium approaches, puzzle games are getting more and more complicated, and in the distant future, will probably fry your brain. Devil Dice offers a level of difficulty that forces the brain to think as fast as possible. Think ‘cubes’ and you’ll be fine.

The game’s idea is a simple, yet mind blowing one. As the title suggests, dice are the key here. To achieve high scores, or indeed any score at all, you must link together the faces of the dice that match. If you are matching sixes, you will need to line up six dice of that kind. Here’s the tricky part. Dice are moved mostly by rolling them, changing the face of the dice as you go. The most important thing to remember is that opposite sides of the dice always add to a total of seven. Because you can already see three sides of the dice, you will always know what number is lying on the sides you cannot see. Strategies should be formulated around this fact, so you can think ahead.

Game modes include trial, battle, and wars, whereby you can challenge up to four of your friends in a race to finish the game as the outright winner. Remember, there can be only one. So think fast, think clever, and you’ll stand a good chance of getting a decent score. Roll those dice, baby.
