Crash Team Racing - PlayStation

Crash Team Racing... get it? You see it's Crash Bandicoot in a racing game with loads of crash action. There's precious little team play though...

There are about a million reasons why you should get his game, particularly if you enjoyed SCARS. Firstly, lets get things straight, this is Super Mario Cart for those without an N64. A Character previously much-loved from platform games gets himself a cart, and goes ape crazy with a bunch of other character also much-loved from his other games.

You know the score, but what you might not know is how incredibly well it all works in this instance. CTR is fast, furious and fun. There are a gazillion different types of weapons you can pick up to use against your opponents. the tracks (and there are lots of them) are well designed, with bumps and jumps galore.

Just as you think you're about to take the lead, you get blasted and fall back to fifth place. Just as you're about to give up hope of winning you his an accelerator pad and whooosh! you're a winner. CTR is a winner too! more
