Summary
Those crazy Japanese. What other nation could decide that a couple of large eyed, large haired kids and their strange pink pet would make ideal ingredients for a PlayStation Adventure/RPG? But, oddly enough, they were right. Pop this one into your PlayStation and you'll be thrown into a stunningly believable real-time 3D fantasy world, complete with a story line more gripping than Geoff Capes handshake. Add a theme tune that sounds a bit like "Battle Of The Planets", and you could be forgiven for thinking that all other RPG's are Square. Ho ho.
The February 2000 issue of PlayStation World awarded the game a very healthy nine out of ten, hailing it as "one of the greatest adventures available for any games system. Graphically wonderful," they said, "charming to experience, and awesome to play... Grandia is quite simply a class apart from just about all PlayStation adventures currently available. Buy it". Sage advice.
