There are some human creations that many people would say are better left buried. One of these abominations has to be production of Thunderbirds, although many of the older generation would argue this statement. However embarrassing it may seem, Thunderbirds has been revived in cartridge format for GameBoy Color.
While still based around the series, Thunderbirds on GameBoy Color is a video game (duh), making it an entirely different franchise from its TV counterparts. First and foremost, Thunderbirds is a shoot-em-up, whether it be in space or on Earth. In the year 2065, you must once again use each of the five thunderbirds to expose and isolate the evil plans of The Hood. Each Thunderbird will take you to one of three different environments - space, sky and ocean, and you must complete each task given to you to progress to the next area of the game.
Due to the limitations of the 8-bit handheld, Thunderbirds is obviously a 2D game and runs a little like the old arcade classic, Defender. While not a groundbreaking title, its a lovely creation on the GameBoy Color that presents quite a challenge. A journey on a public bus has never been more exciting.
