Summary

A racing game from the now-defunct Gremlin Interactive, the aptly named Buggy for PC is a simple little racer that pits players in a selection of Buggys in which they must race - often off-road - to the finish line. It's a typical arcade racer and is in some ways reminiscent of Big Red Racing.

The structure of the game is simple. All you must to do is win one race to proceed to the next. The more races you win, the more vehicles you unlock. Your buggy tends to flip about willy-nilly depending on the terrain of the race in question, so you often find yourself having to race with a degree of caution. On the other hand, such terrain can be used to your advantage. By catapulting yourself in the air, you can pass a number of 'airgates', which offer useful power-ups to players.

And that's about all there is to it. Buggy's lack of complex gameplay makes it appealing to kids and it's great for a quick thrash.
