Summary
John Madden is one of the all time stars of the American Pro Football League. Think Pele or Michael Jordan and you should get the idea. The Madden licence has been held by Electronic Arts for years now with the first of the series debuting on the MegaDrive. As with any EA Sports release, this game is official and complete. All the teams and players from the NFL are included along with stats and ratings. Also all the players are modelled from accurate data meaning that they are the same size and shape as they are in real life.
The game has had a real boost in graphics, physics and AI for it’s latest home on the PlayStation 2. The players now feature real facial expressions, and the moves and collisions of the footballers are calculated in terms of speed, mass and hit location.
The game aims to be the definitive American Football game with all the teams from the olden days included. There are also retro uniforms available for present day teams making this game an American Football fan’s dream.
