Cybertiger from EA is a cartoon-style golf game in the ilk of the fantastic Everybodys Golf. The first thing you notice about this game is that it comes from a great heritage, carrying official licenses from both PGA and Tiger Woods himself. The disk contains both real and fantasy courses and a host of made-up golfers to take on Tiger. These can be mixed and matched with players that you can create.
If you are one of those people who just picks up a game and plays it, without a second glance at the instruction book, you will be in for a big surprise. As you know most golf games operate on the time-served aim, gauge power and swing basis. With Cybertiger the spin and power of the shot is controlled by pulling back the analogue pad and pushing it forward in quick succession. This seems a little strange at first but with practice it can be brought under control. There are various views you can choose from while taking your shot as well as a zoom facility and a course overview.
If you like cartoon golf games, this is not too bad, but we would recommend Everybodys Golf or Everybodys Golf 2.
