Summary

Terrorists have gained control of a satellite with destructive laser capabilities. They are threatening to destroy major cities throughout the world if their demands are not met. This sounds like the premise of a James Bond movie, and for all intents and purposes, Confidential Mission for the Dreamcast is a like a videogame interpretation of a Bond flick. In the style of classic light gun game, Virtua Cop, Confidental mission is the latest greatest reason to own a light gun for your DC.

The gameplay of Confidential Mission is very easy to learn and that makes it appealing to all ages. Basically, shoot everyone that is trying to shoot you and don’t pop the innocent hostages or bystanders. You only have a limited amount of lives and continues so you better shoot sharp.

What sets Confidential Mission apart from the other gun games is the spy like theme that it follows and the one-chance events after each stage. These events are shots of time and accuracy that have a direct effect on the game and the path that you follow. For example, you are stuck in a lift, and suddenly it starts to fill with gas, you only have seconds to shoot the vents or your vision will be affected.

The graphics and sound in Confidential Mission radiate quality and there is strong desire to perfect your shooting to finish the game, put in a high score and unlock its secrets. Playing alongside your mate is cool, but if you want the ultimate challenge, try using two guns simultaneously. Confidential mission is one of the best guns around, check it out.
