Summary

Road Wage is a fast paced, action orientated racing game from Midas Interactive. Designed for the PC, Road Wage is essentially a delivery game where you race against other drivers and the clock. The more deliveries you make, the more money you earn to buy new vehicles.

Road Wage is an easy game to play and that is part of its appeal, forget about difficult simulations, fun is more important here. Your driving style is decided by the car that you choose, sports cars need to driven defensively, whereas trucks can get away with barging their way through traffic. If you crash in a sports car it’s difficult to regain momentum, losing valuable tips.

Racing only accounts for half of the challenge, weapons play a big part in this game. They introduce a tactical aspect and can be used for slowing down or destroying your rivals. Be careful not be hit yourself or run over any negative power-ups. Your car loses a lot of top end speed with a 1000-kilogram weight strapped to the roof.

Road Wage’s open-ended structure gives you the freedom to choose what cars, jobs and upgrades you pick. With over 24 vehicles to acquire and more than 12 unique cities to race through, Road Wage is a big game with plenty of arcade style gameplay.
