Summary

In Rune: Viking Warlord you assume the role of a warrior from a time long gone. You are hand-picked by the Gods to defend humanity from the shadowy War Masters who intend to bring about Ragnarok. Ragnarok is the day when man, God and giants will fight a war that will destroy the Earth.

Using the graphical power of the PlayStation 2, the Rune universe comes to life with amazing visuals spread across 48 environments. Levels range from mountain tops to the darkest reaches of the netherworld, and each location is full of unspeakable enemies such as frost giants and skeletons.

One of Rune's best features is its captivating and engrossing storyline. The plot is well written and slowly unfolds as you make progress in your adventure. Several plot twists and turns add intrigue and suspense to the action.

Rune, at its heart is an action/combat game, where you deal damage to your foes using an axe. There are over 15 axes, each with their own unique powers. You’ll need them all as your enemies will come at you relentlessly.

Rune: Viking Warlord, then: winding down at the end of a stressful day by winding up and letting fly with some deadly chops doesn't get much better than this.
