Summary

Okay, you see the word ‘Manager’ in the title and you think, “Blimey, another traditional management game”. But there are a few exceptions. Rock Manager is one such game, and no, it’s not about overseeing rocks in a cave. This is all about Rock ‘n’ Roll. Excited? You should be.

In this particular management game, your challenge is to send unlikely but talented suspects into the realms of rock stardom. But it’s not quite as easy as it sounds. Once the press loses interest and exclusive contracts are few and far between, it’s pretty easy to hit ‘rock’ bottom (ha!) in this harsh music industry.

Players are able to choose from any of nine unique scenarios. For example, in the ‘Daddy’s Girl’ mission, players are challenged to turn a tone deaf and quite frankly, ugly teenage girl into a talented Rock ‘n’ Roll beauty. Each and every scenario is almost a complete Rock Manager game within itself.

Players are also able to build bands from scratch from a selection of 24 musicians, each with unique talents and personalities. You must plan and carry out marketing strategies, set up gigs, produce songs, and even design your own record sleeves. You will be judged as you progress, and the result effects the success of your band.

So have fun, keep it real, and those international arenas and stadia will welcome you with deafening screams and open arms. Rock Manager - top of the hit parade.
