Summary

Taito’s Bust-A-Move series does down in video games history as one of the greatest and most addictive games ever created. While not the most technically advanced creation, the latest version, Super Bust-A-Move suits the new Game Boy Advance version brilliantly.

Essentially, Super BAM remains faithful to its multi-platformed predecessors. The basics of the game are the same: aim and shoot different coloured bubbles and attempt to match three of the same together to burst them. Simple as it sounds, Super Bust-A-Move still offers extremely challenging gameplay. Not only must you position your bubbles accurately, but also as quickly as possible. Doing so will result in greater success and improved scores.

To make the game even more challenging, there are several unique bubbles that appear randomly and that don’t follow the general rules of Bust-A-Move. You must learn how to rid your playing area of these miscellaneous space-fillers while simultaneously maintaining an organised game and scoring as high as possible. If you lose your calm and begin firing bubbles recklessly, you’ll soon find yourself staring at the Game Over screen.

Super Bust-A-Move is simply perfect for the Game Boy Advance. It’s as if the console and game were designed for each other.
