This first volume of 1000 Miglia presents you with the opportunity to take part in this world famous race. Featuring vintage cars and actual drivers from 1927 through to 1933, make your choice then stock up on extra fuel, spark plugs, tyres and other essential spare parts before taking off across scenic Italy.
Scenic in the real world, but not so much in this game. While the "front of house" presentation - the menu and selection pages - are polished, the game itself, the driving stages, are bland and lacking in gameplay. The road-side objects amount to little more than small rocks, signs and trees. This would be forgiveable if the driving were a challenge, but it's a simple case of working up to top gear, flying along at full speed pull left and right with only the occasional tight bend or pothole requiring you to take things more slowly.
Such a shame for a game which initial has so much to offer.
