Summary

Novalogic's biggest PC franchise Delta Force, formerly exclusive to the platform, is finally branching out onto PlayStation in an exclusive release developed by those modest folks at Rebellion.

A stealth-strategy game, Delta Force Urban Warfare pits its players against yet another barrage of gun-wielding army guys as you embark on a mission to halt the global threat that lurks at enemy HQ. But you don't have the luxury of commanding an entire team of elite troops a la Rogue Spear and SWAT - you're a lone operative and the world's only hope.

Okay, that's a lot of pressure, but it's all in a day's work. But despite having some the world's greatest anti-terrorist weapons at your disposal, your mission is a tasking one, as you come face to face with some cunning and truly unforgiving AI opponents. These guys react to gunfire, dive for cover, employ devious tactical manoeuvres and even pursue the player's trail of blood, should you spill. So it's best that you go unseen, never miss your target, and cover your tracks.

Defeating a game of Delta Force is never straightforward task. Nullifying the enemy plays just a small part. You will also be responsible for intercepting enemy communications, capturing prisoners, concealing enemy bodies, rescuing hostages and defusing hidden explosives. Thermal goggles, combat radar, rocket launchers and remote explosives ensure players are always kept thinking as to the best course of action on this enormous espionage mission.

Complete with fluid Dual Shock controls, smooth final-generation PlayStation visuals and a compelling narrative, Urban Warfare paves the way for future console Delta Force developments.
