Summary

Not quite as visceral a fighting experience as seen on its bigger brother, the GameCube, Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance brings the highly acclaimed MK experience to the GBA. Early 2003 finally sees the European release of the long-awaited next chapter in the battle of good versus evil, as two powerful sorcerers - Shang Tsung and Quan Chi - join forces to deliver unrivalled fighting action in their quest for supreme mortality.

Gamers engage in hand-to-hand and special-weapon combat throughout, using moves and combinations of great complexity to bring about new fatalities and deadly body blows. There are a host of lethal new warriors available in Deadly Alliance, along with the return of some of MK's classic combatants, such as Scorpion, Raiden, Sub-Zero and Sonya. There's a new fighting system featured in Deadly Alliance, and each warrior has two unique fighting styles, including hand-to-hand and deadly-weapon combat, adding a whole new strategy to Mortal Kombat fighting. Also featured is progressive physical damage that allows players to view the humiliation suffered by their opponents as they head toward their inevitable demise.

Old and new characters - more than eleven in fact - are present, and all selectable. Old favourites such as Scorpion are here, complete with his deadly spear move, and new fighters like Frost and Li Mei have their own attacks too. With multiple play modes available, you and your GBA can form your own long-lasting Alliance.
