Summary

The second of two titles to be released by newly-established City Interactive appears in the form of your standard first-person shooter. But rather than merely requiring the usual 'shooting of everything on screen', Nina: Agent Chronicles demands a combination of brainpower and firepower, as an emphasis is placed on completing tasks and solving puzzles...as well as shooting everything on screen.

The Nina in question has been enlisted by an anti-terrorist organisation because of her paranormal ability to take over the minds of other people. Players step into the shoes of the gifted uber-agent and enter into an assortment of absorbing missions, which centre on a city hidden in the mountains of Afghanistan. Throughout there are a great deal of puzzles to solve, tasks to perform and baddies to perforate, and throughout players need to make best use of the available weaponry.

Powered by Lithtech's Talon engine, Nina the game certainly looks the part. As does Nina the character who, incidentally, is played by top Polish model Iza Czarnecka. The environments are all highly detailed and an updated physics system means that things feel solid and enemies react convincingly when you fill them full of lead.
