Summary

One online game to rule them all...

It's taken its time, but Shadows of Angmar marks the fantasy juggernaut that is Tolkein's Lord of the Rings making its first foray into the world of the massively multi-player online game.

Players will enter into the realm of Middle-Earth as Man, Elf, Dwarf or Hobbit. There are seven different classes up for grabs including Champion, Loremaster or, if you're feeling naughty, Burglar.

From one of those classes, you'll begin your sojourn. The scale at which you want to play is up to you. If you're feeling heroic, you can get involved in the epic struggle against the Witch King as the shadow of Angmar lengthens. Alternatively, if you're feeling a little less ambitious, you can get involved in the day to day goings on of life in Tolkein's world.

If all that do-gooding starts to grate, you can express your inner badass, thanks to Monster Play. Taking some time out from regular play, you'll be whisked away to the Ettenmoors as one of Sauron's minions. Once there, it's fast and furious 'capture the castle play' as you duke it out against other followers of evil.

All your favourite Middle Earth locations are present and accounted for. You can hang out in The Shire, visit the halls of Rivendell or chat with Tom Bombadil as you go about your business.
