Summary

Davilex - developer of countless driving games ending in the word 'Racer', as well as the more recent Knight Rider spin-off - definitely seem to have a thing for racing games. In this latest outing, the company has opted for a beach buggy sim, which, considering, could be seen as a slight step in a different direction, as the game combines off-road racing with outrageous stunt driving, instead of having the focus solely on achieving pole position.

The main concept of the game sees players take to the beaches of a glamorous coastal resort, charged with the task of showing off in their beach buggies in the attempt to impress the local resident beach babes. To do so, you basically have to perform a whole host of outrageous stunts on Monday, take them for a drink on Tuesday, and then Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, who knows?

There are 12 extensive arenas in which to compete, packed full of rooftops, ramps and obstacles, across which you must do your stuff in order to get the points rolling in and subsequently win the heart of the girl of your dreams. These locales include the likes of Ibiza, Rio de Janeiro, St Tropez, and Bali - all bright, colourful, sun-kissed, and extremely inviting. In fact, so much so that you feel like just quitting your job, getting out of the miserable office and going and hitting the beach. Scarborough just doesn't compare though.
