Summary

A massive DC Comics character derived from an even more popular Batman franchise, Catwoman has had her fair share of acrobatic shenanigans in the past. The leather clad feline's latest adventure sees Halle Berry taking to the big screen in what unfortunately is considered to be a disappointing film. The game however, is a different story...

An EA-developed 3D adventure that closely follows the events of the cinematic equivalent, Catwoman on console tells the tale of Patience Prince and how she is transformed into a feline heroine after she is murdered for discovering the dark secrets of her employers.

The game itself is one focused primarily on combat. Throughout the adventure, you'll be confronted by myriad foes bent on taking your nine lives from you, but as a feline you come blessed with a variety of acrobatic abilities and super-human senses that will help you trap your enemies or knock them unconscious. The game's combat system is a little tricky, and requires some learning, but after an hour or so, all becomes second nature.

In addition to combat, Catwoman also plays host to a broad range of platform elements that require heavy use of the protagonist's feline abilities. Wall-climbing, leaping and the ability to use your whip to negotiate complex platform structures are just a few of Catwoman's specialities.

Catwoman is a challenging adventure in which a trial-and-error play mechanic plays its part, but on the whole, Catwoman is a game well worth playing.
