Summary

The latest outing in the hugely popular series, Final Fantasy VII: Dirge of Cerberus is a third-person action role-playing game and is the sequel to 1997’s Final Fantasy VII.

Dirge of Cerberus, directed by Takayoshi Nakazato with original soundtrack and in-game music for the game composed by Masashi Hamauzu, centres on the character of Vincent Valentine. The game gives you the opportunity to discover the hidden truth behind the Final Fantasy VII storyline as Vincent Valentine’s tale is finally told, as well as revisiting memorable locations and seeing familiar faces from FF VII.

The storyline is as follows. Three years have passed after the events of Final Fantasy VII, since Meteor's devastating attack on the planet. After piecing together their shattered lives, people are terrorized yet again by sudden attacks stemming from a mysterious military organization known as “Deepground.”

Before Meteorfall, these soldiers formed one of Shinra's most secret projects—but with the destruction of Midgar, the soldiers left below the town’s smoldering remains were forgotten. Playing as Vincent Valentine you must now retaliate against this impending threat with your trusty Cerberus in hand.

Playing as Vincent Valentine you find yourself pursued by several elite members of the Deepground organization. An unrelenting chain of events leads you to the truth behind your past and you have no option but to take your role as a key player in a battle for the planet itself and all those living in it.

FFVII:Dirge of Cerberus gives you access to a variety of weapons, with which you can unleash loads of devastating melee combo attacks – the ultimate being the “Limit Break” attack which transforms Vincent into an unstoppable beast.

A must for all fans of the unstoppable Final Fantasy series.
