Summary

The latest instalment in Capcom's Onimusha series begins roughly 15 years after the annihilation of the infamous Japanese warlord Oda Nobunaga at Honno Temple. Another dark shadow now looms over Japan as Nobunaga's successor, Hideyoshi Toyotomi, has decided to align himself with the evil Genma forces. Gamers play the role of Soki, a young warrior who has tremendous strength and power, along with several other associates who hope to stop Hideyoshi's pursuit for power.

The latest instalment exceeds its predecessors with expansive environments and continues in the franchise's graphical excellence. Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams includes major enhancements to the series, such as evolved co-operative gameplay elements and new character interactions. There is also a completely new game system, where players can choose a fellow warrior to assist Soki in battle at any time. It is also possible for gamers to instruct their ally to stay still, attack or act on the defensive. Players can quickly change between the two on-screen characters, allowing them to control the partner he or she has taken into battle. This new system makes the most of each character's skill and adds an extra feature to the overall gameplay.

Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams has a great cast of warriors, who each have their own individual abilities, attacks and storylines. The game also offers more intense gameplay, which creates a more detailed and enthralling experience, like the series has never seen before.
