Summary
It is World War II and land, air and sea are in historic peril. You are in the midst of battle as a Captain of a naval armada. Your objective is to command US and British forces to protect the high seas against the Axis powers and mysterious terrorist threats. Combining real-time strategy and turn-based gameplay, Steel Horizon will see you embark upon an alternate saga of suspense, intrigue and triumph.
Steel Horizon's game modes include Campaign, which brings you into the story as the commander of an allied fleet. During the campaign, you will fight both German and Japanese forces in the European and Pacific theatres of war, as well as an unknown third party. The campaign unfolds over the course of 20 main missions, and 14 bonus missions can be unlocked by defeating key ships and capturing special bases.
Skirmish mode goes to the heart of the action and the Campaign story is not involved. It's just a plain old battle between you and whoever/whatever crosses your path. Eight skirmish maps are available at first, and many more are unlocked as you discover bonus missions in Campaign mode. There's also a Vs. mode where using the wireless connection, two players can engage in battle.
