Summary

Dora the Explorer is an American cartoon series for pre-school age children broadcasted on the Nickelodeon channel. The cartoon tells the story of Dora Marquez, a seven-year old Latina who embarks on various quests that are educational and suitable for kids. Dora's first appearance in a videogame was in Dora the Explorer: Backpack Adventure in 2002. Since then, there have been a steady number of Dora the Explorer titles released on several platforms.

In Dora the Explorer: Dance to the Rescue, gamers assume the role of - you guessed it - Dora. You must help Dora rescue Swiper (a fox) who has been trapped in a bottle by an evil dancing elf. To free Swiper, Dora must Dance to the Rescue! You will be helped on your journey by Dora's best friend Boots, a monkey. It is necessary that Boots eats plenty of bananas. This will ensure he doesn't run out of energy and fall asleep.

Players must guide and groove Dora and Boots through a pyramid, across an ocean, bike their way up Shape Hill and parachute down Star Mountain. As the game progresses, Dora must learn the necessary steps to dance her way into the Kings Dance Contest. If she wins this competition, she will be given one big wish to save Swiper.
