Summary

Hot Wheels Stunt Track Challenge & Hot Wheels World Race for the GBA is a compilation featuring the legendary toys from Mattel.

Boasting a diverse range of cars, circuits, stunts and playing modes, Hot Wheels Stunt Track Challenge for the GBA basically pits players in a racing league that depends just as much on stunts as it does driving skills, and here's why...

In a similar fashion to Burnout, the player must execute a series of stunts in order to fill a speed boost meter that will then send them rocketing down the circuit and hopefully into the lead. Of course, the same applies to your opponents, making the main game something of a challenge, but it's a good idea that's well implemented. The life of Stunt Track Challenge spans some six gravity-defying locations that play host to 13 playable Hot Wheels vehicles and five solid game modes that comprise of Game Show, Test Track, Quick Race, Checkpoint Challenge and Stunt School. Of the five, Game Show and Stunt School are perhaps the most compelling.

Hot Wheels World Race is full of wild racing cars, based on some of the latest and grandest designs to come out of the Hot Wheels garage. Racing is taken to a new level, as players are thrust into the unique Hot Wheels world, where life revolves around ultra-intense stunt racing. Some tracks incorporate split or multi-level courses, loops, ice mountains, volcanoes, hidden shortcuts, obstacles and more - whatever level you race at, and whether you're playing catch up, or showing off with a gravity-defying jump, the challenge is huge, and there'll be more than a few surprises in store. You can link up with a friend, go head-to-head, and try to run each other off the track - great fun guaranteed.

Fans of Mattel's Hot Wheels will certainly be more than happy with this compilation. It represents extremely good value for money as a twofer, and if you haven't had the Hot Wheels experience yet, this is a great place to start.
