Summary
Spectrobes: Beyond The Portals is the second Spectrobes-themed title for Nintendo DS, and continues the story of Rallen and Jeena, the Planetary Patrol Officers who discover, excavate, awaken and train mysterious fossilised creatures known as Spectrobes and then use them to battle enemies. Beyond The Portals' story surrounds the origins of mysterious portals that lead to distant dimensions.
The Krawl invasion of the Nanairo Star System from the first instalment of the game was forced into a retreat, but a sinister power has emerged to lead a new assault. It's down to Rallen and Jeena to save the universe from ultimate destruction - again!
For the first time, players get to control Jeena as well as Rallen. Jeena is skilled in research and technology and can help Rallen solve puzzles and help with new missions. Beyond the Portals also features a new 3D perspective, a map to aid exploration, new excavation and battle features, double the number of Spectrobes and the debut of the online battle system!
