Summary

Ever fancied putting yourself on the bridge of the Enterprise? Sure you have! You're not a self-respecting nerd if you've never wanted to sternly utter the words "Warp nine, Ensign". Well, you've certainly had the opportunity before. But maybe you've wanted to have your hands on the controls as well, so you could go a bit Picard and drop into high warp, then stop right off a target's bow and fire with everything you've got? Well, now you can do both in the same game thanks to the appearance of Star Trek: Conquest.

Set in the Next Generation era, the game puts players on the bridges of Federation, Klingon, Romulan, Cardassian, Dominion, and Breen as they make their way across a web-like galactic map, taking control of the galaxy one planet at a time. You'll need to manage not only your fleet, but also your cash flow so that you can build support structures, research technology and engage your enemies in combat.

Once you get into battle, your viewpoint will change - dropping you at the helm of a starship. From there, you'll need to outmanoeuvre your enemies and turn your phasers and torpedoes on their ships.

It's the best of both (or many) worlds...
