Summary
International Athletics invites virtual athletes to test their skills and beat the best in the world. A very realistic athletics simulation - well, as close as it gets on Nintendo DS - Internatioal Athletics features 14 super-challenging track and field events: 100m, Long Jump, Shot Put, High Jump, 400m, 110m Hurdles, Discus, Pole Vault, Javelin, 1500m, Hammer, Running Target Rifle shooting, Rapid Fire Pistol shooting and Archery. Of course, this being a DS port, the game makes good use of the touch screen and stylus in a classic 'Track and Field' style.
Detailed international stadiums, including venues in Canada, France, Japan, Spain and China are included. You can create a customised male or female athlete with their own distinctive attributes and compete in pass-around, Single Card, Multi Card and Nintendo WFC multiplayer modes. The online leaderboard enables you to download/upload and show the rest of the world just how fit you are.
