Summary

Science fiction has a peculiar ability to endure. Granted, Journey to the Centre of the Earth by Jules Verne has perhaps not aged quite so well as some of his other works (given that we know you couldn't get to far without getting your face burnt off by molten rock) but that hasn't stopped Brendan Fraser jumping right into a new film of the book set in the modern day. It wouldn't be much of a summer blockbuster without an accompanying game, would it?

So it is that players delve into a hidden underground world, playing as Trevor (Fraser), his nephew Sean and girlfriend Hannah. The film can be relived through seven different environments, where players will ride rock slides, navigate an out of control mine cart, raft across an ancient ocean and avoid the perils presented by dinosaurs. The DS's touch screen and stylus come into play to control the whole hairy lot. In addition, there are mini games on offer that allow players to dig for dinosaur bones and decipher ancient hieroglyphics.

There's a whole world down there to explore. Just don't worry what modern science has to say on the subject.
