Summary

Superman Needs You! And so do Batman, and Wonder Woman, and Green Lantern and The Flash and even the Blue Beetle and Booster Gold. Basically, everyone residing in the DC universe is in need of a helping hand, and you're going to give it to them. You, and more gamers than you can shake a stick at at super speed. The DC Universe has gone massively multiplayer!

The reason for thousands of new heroes and villains to suddenly pop up in the DC Universe? Well, that would be one Lex Luthor. Returning from a near future in which Brainiac has conquered the planet and destroyed Earth's heroes, he comes bearing stolen Brainiac technology. He explains to an outraged Justice League that he has released this fleet of nanobots into Earth's atmosphere, where they will empower scores of new humans, giving humanity a fighting chance against the coming threat.

So it is that you enter the world of DC. You'll get to build your own character from scratch, choosing whether they will be a hero or a villain and customising them from the ground up. You won't be alone – you'll be mentored by one of the heroes or villains of the DCU.

They'll send you off on story missions – missions written by none other than DC Chief Creative Officer and general top flight writer Geoff Johns, along with Marv Wolfman, the scribe behind the famous Crisis on Infinite Earths! If that's not enough comics talent to bring authenticity to the game, how about design from none other than superstar artist and industry legend Jim Lee?

Yeah, there's a massive multitude of reasons for comics and MMO fans alike to jump into the DC Universe. You wouldn't want to let those heroes down, would you?
