Summary

James Bond used to take his Martinis shaken, not stirred. Since Daniel Craig took on the role of the world's greatest secret agent, we're not entirely sure he isn't a little of both. So, with the release of Quantum of Solace, it's time to step into the shoes of a more grizzled Bond.

As well as delving into the action of Quantum of Solace, the game picks up the recent Casino Royale movie, too. It's the first Bond game on the DS, why not go big?

Following the events of the two films, the action swings from stealthy, secret agent-type work to all-out, blockbuster combat.

Developer Vicarious Visions (which seems to be absolutely everywhere, between this Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, Wii version of Guitar Hero: World Tour and Guitar Hero: On Tour) has handled the DS version of the game. Rather than trying to cram a console game onto the handheld, the developer has tailored the experience to the DS's strengths. It has all but eliminated the need for anything bar the touch screen, with Bond controlled by swiping the stylus across the screen plus the use of just one button.

The game also features a deep upgrade system. Players can collect Bond points and use special playing cards to customise and enhance their abilities. In essence, it's Bond just as you want him.
