Summary

DragonBall Origins is a new Nintendo DS game set in the popular DragonBall Z universe, and based on the original DragonBall Z anime series. Aimed at younger players, the game is more fun and lighthearted than recent DragonBall Z games, and aims to introduce a new generation of players to the DBZ world.

Players take the role of Goku and travel with their companion Bulma on a quest to collect the seven Dragon Balls. Goku must protect Bulma from any attacks by using his fighting skills. And that fighting will be good practice, because as the game progresses, you get the opportunity to fight your way through the Martial Arts World Tournament. If fighting's not your style, you can chose to puzzle your way through the game. As you progress, collect "heart pieces" to give you health and "skill orbs" to power up your attacks. Bulma can make machines and weapons to help them on their quest. Whether you are fighting or puzzling, Goku's Power Pole will help him, either by giving him extra types of attack move, or by enabling him to break rocks and cross rivers.

The whole game is controlled via the touchscreen, drawing shapes, or by using stylus gestures to direct your characters and tell them when and how to act. If this innovative control method doesn't meet with your approval, you can assign button shortcuts for character control.

Rendered in full 3D, DragonBall Origins is one of the most innovative and addictive DragonBall games ever released, and it's exclusive to the DS.
