Summary

Once the Nintendo Wii and DS had provided an audience of casual and female gamers for it, Cooking Mama started a gameplay revolution. Now it seems that everyone wants a piece of the action. Endemol, creators of the Ready, Steady, Cook TV program are bringing it to he DS and Wii, so that viewers who enjoy watching can get some idea of what it's like to compete in the popular TV program's cooking against the clock format.

Players choose their kitchen, Green or Red, pepper or tomato, and select a Chef to work with. There are five different chefs, each with their own style of cuisine: Mediterranean, Continental, Indian Asian and Mexican. Next choose your grocery bag, Budget or Classic, which determine what ingredients will be available to use. As play progresses, Bistro and Gourmet Bags become available too, opening up the opportunity for more exciting menus and more adventurous recipes . Now it's a race against the clock to prepare a dish by following your chef's instructions. Each cooking session lasts around four minutes. Select your ingredients, prepare and cook your food and, serve it up to the plate. When time is up, the audience will select the winner, depending on how many tasks were completed and how difficult the selected dish was. If you win, new ingredients are unlocked and your recipe is added to your cookery book.

With 60 delicious recipes to master, and two-player competition offering three levels of difficulty but requiring just one cartridge, Ready Steady Cook can make a gourmet out of the poorest cook.
