Summary
Bubble Bobble is back, and it's gone cosmic! Well, maybe we should say 'galactic'...
Bub and Bob, your favourite dinosaurs from the Bubble Bobble series, are just doing their usual thing when an unmanned spaceship descends from the sky. Just for laughs, they get aboard and start pushing buttons. What they weren't expecting, however, was a distress call! It turns out that doors into alternate realities have been opening at random, flooding the galaxy with bubble debris. It's up to Bub and Bob to stop it!
What follows is a 'match three' arcade puzzler. As with the original, players shoot balls from a cannon at the bottom of the screen, matching colours with the mass of bubbles at the top.
Breaking up the gameplay is a host of mini-games including Factory, a new mode you have to get through using a limited number of bubbles and pressure, which really cranks it up by giving you just one bubble to clear the stage!
Thanks to the inclusion of a shop, you can gather points in various modes and use them to purchase merchandise such as extra modes, sound test, staff roll bubbles and arrows.
With over 20 years of history to the Bubble Bobble franchise, expect cameos from some familiar faces as you go about saving the galaxy.
