Summary

Developed by Saber Interactive (Battle Los Angeles), Inversion is a shoot-em-up that comes with firefights and a suspense-filled storyline.

A third-person co-op shooter, Inversion uses a gravity manipulation engine featuring the Grappler weapon to enable players to manipulate gravity for their own purposes.

The game is set in the near future where the peace of humanity is shattered by an invasion by an alien race known as the Lutadore. Armed to the teeth with futuristic gravity-controlling weapons, the Lutadore easily take over a major city. Random regions in the city have entered zero gravity or have suffered vector changes, throwing the world into chaos. So, the gamer as Davis Russel, a hotheaded 28-year-old cop, or Leo Delgado, Davis’ neighbour must fight their ways through the gravitational, alien-filled horrors and combat fund to rescue Davis' missing child.

Unlike other shooters, Inversion makes use of zero gravity environments and gravity-wielding combat as well as an original and destructible cover system.

The Grappler is used in a wide variety of environments to move and to use massive objects as shields or projectiles. Even encamped enemies can be manoeuvred out of concealed cover in order to be destroyed. The Grappler can and must be used in puzzle solving situations.

Inversion brings a whole new meaning to turning everything on its head!
