Summary

When Harmonix started looking for opportunities to create Rock Band games dedicated to one particular artist, Green Day was a no-brainer. The studio agreed that the hard rock group was a perfect fit for the gaming brand, particularly since the band stormed to mainstream notoriety with the American Idiot concept album.

Naturally, the title track for that release can be found in Green Day: Rock Band, along with 46 other tracks that follow the group from their turbulent heyday in the 1990s to the voice of a pop-punk generation in the 21st Century. Brain Stew, Jaded, Hitchin' A Ride, Wake Me Up When September Ends and Boulevard of Broken Dreams are just some of the tracks you can jam along to with up to three friends on guitar, drums or vocals.

The progression of Green Day: Rock Band revolves around three of the band's hit albums; from their rise to fame with Dookie to its breakthrough American Idiot and finishing with its latest release, 21st Century Breakdown. While the campaign will focus on these specific areas in Green Day's history, rest assured that tracks from Nimrod and others are also included.

And for hardcore fans, there are over 100 collectible images and more than 40 minutes of rare and unreleased video from interviews, outtakes and performances – a must-see for any dedicated idiot, American or otherwise.
