Summary

Okay, so a great many gamers feel that they can do a better job of making games than the professionals. Well, WarioWare: Do It Yourself provides exactly this opportunity.

The game is split into five separate areas that enable the user to operate in the three creation phases (the object phase, the background phase, and the sound phase.)

You get the D.I.Y. Studio: This is where you go to create all your mini-games and stitch the components together.

Then there's WarioWare, Inc: Practice by completing pre-created mini-games, or do the tutorial based on Penny Crygor.

You can access the D.I.Y. Shop: Save your game to a “micro game cassettes” for sharing.

Finally, visit the Distribution Center: As the name suggests, this is where games can be shared over WiFi.

Possibly the most fun thing about the game is the Music Creation tool, though. Using this tool you can actually hum into your DS's microphone and the console will convert your efforts into playable music for your games.

The graphics tool – like the music tool – will be familiar to those gamers who have used Mario Paint in the past. Bearing in mind, however, that the tool also ties in with the ability to have characters and objects interact with the backgrounds, it's more than a simple painting tool.

With 90 pre-made games, the ability to create four-panel comics and the ability to upload games to Nintendo's WarioWare Showcase in order to win prizes, WarioWare: Do It Yourself is close to the complete game creation tool.
