Summary

We all have different ambitions when it comes to future careers. Some want to grow up and become a doctor that saves lives. Others want to be a race driver. The main character of Despicable Me, Gru, ended up becoming an villainous mastermind that wants to build a rocket ship and steal the moon. You know, nothing fancy.

You get to help Gru realise that dream in Despicable Me: The Game. Based on the action-packed animated film of the same name, your mission is to control an army of little yellow minions to complete puzzles and various objectives. This all takes place in the colourful and outrageous world of the cartoon flick, with players platforming and puzzling their way through all kinds of mechanical scenery.

It won't just be your despicable wits that you can use to overcome various obstacles. Gru and his minions can take advantage of a number of dastardly weapons and gadgets to get around, including magnet guns that help gravitate you to certain places, freeze rays to give your enemies a cold reception, and a variety of battle-ready vehicles that can overpower difficult foes.

Gru is not alone in his quest for moon domination – you'll come across his bitter rival, Vector, at various points in the game, and you'll have the chance to fly Gru's aircraft around challenging flying missions that will certainly be a true test of despicable deviance. If a CPU Vector isn't fun enough, have a go with a friend in the multiplayer air combat modes.
