Summary

Wars never truly end. Once a campaign finishes, another one begins. That is the fate of the ArmA II lads, as Bohemia has laid down a fresh mission in the form of Operation Arrowhead. This expansion pack does more than your average however – this is a huge addition to the military simulation game, with three new world maps and radical new terrain waiting for you.

Operation Arrowhead takes place in the fictional region of Takistan, three years after the events that took place in ArmA II's lead campaign. Bohemia has taken experience from its last outings and combined real world events and political controversies to nail down a story that is as engaging as it is explosive.

Sandy deserts, dense cityscapes and rocky mountains are just some of the locations in which you will be exploring; while the expansion pack also includes support for controlling unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to tackle obstacles from a distance. For those who really love their simulations, a fully-modelled Forward Looking Infra Red (FLIR) thermal imaging system adds a large scale of realism to the action.

On top of this, you also get to use a detachable backpack system, which will allow you to carry more weapons and ammunition than before. There's even a new option to 'zero in' on targets using weapon scopes, which helps account for slight inaccuracies. Based off of the military-approved Real Virtuality engine, you can bet that this pack makes ArmA II the most realistic experience yet.
