Summary

Bond is back! Given that, as of Blood Stone's release, Bond is notably absent from our cinema screens, fans are going to be eating Activision's latest entry to the 007 gaming franchise up.

No expense has been spared to give Blood Stone an authentic Bond feel, either. Both Daniel Craig and Dame Judi Dench have worked with developer Bizarre Creations to to give the game authenticity as one of THE Bond events of 2010.

The game takes a lead from the style of Quantum of Solace, serving up a third-person shooter experience. Bond takes off across five locations (Athens, Istanbul, Monaco, Siberia and Bangkok) on the hunt for a terrorist group sporting weaponised biological agents. Along the way he'll have plenty of henchmen to shoot at and a new twist on how he can do it. With Focus Aim players can bank Focus kills as they take out enemies using context-sensitive melee attacks. Once a Focus kill is deployed, sorting out an enemy takes just a couple of button presses. If you've played Splinter Cell Conviction you'll have an idea how it works.

Bizarre, of course, is the studio behind racers such as the Project Gotham series and, more recently, Blur. Add that legacy and the Bond franchise and, naturally, you get some breakneck car chases to break up the shooting action.

With the added bonus of multiplayer, that's plenty of Bond to fill the void left by the big screen!
