Summary

Harvest Moon: Animal Parade is the second game in the Harvest Moon series of titles for the Wii.

Set in Harmonica Town, the game sees the player on a quest to seek the help of the Harvest King because only he can restore the divine tree that stands in the middle of the Harvest Goddess' pond to its full bloom. Without the return of the king, all the creatures will leave, the Godess' tree will die and sadness will descend.

The player must locate and ring five bells in order to recall the Harvest King to the island. But that's not all - gameplay also requires the player to run and maintain an entire farm using the Wii Remote as a shovel, a watering can,an axe, a fishing rode. They must also look after the farm animals – including milking cows with the Wii Remote!

Once the animals are looked after, the crops are grown and harvested, the gamer must then take these to market and earn money in order to keep things going, decorate their farmhouse and purchase other items. Crops include potatoes, beans, tomatoes and more.

It's no normal farm however, as the player gets to choose from creatures as diverse as lions, giraffes, horses, goats, ducks, silkworms, chickens, cows and hippopotamuses. The animals are, in fact, separated into four categories: circus, livestock, poultry, and pets and each must be cared for in its own way.

While all of this is going on the gamer also has to think about getting married and having children.
